Position Summary
The Global Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales organization of the Water Business to drive growth and expand the customer base. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, and achieve revenue targets across global markets. This role requires a combination of strong multi-site leadership, sales expertise, and marketing acumen to effectively promote three different product offerings and sales teams while building sustainable customer relationships. This position will report to the General Manager for the Water Business and will be based in Delft, The Netherlands.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets;
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, new markets and competitive landscape.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs;
  • Lead and manage the global sales team setting performance goals, providing guidance and conducting regular performance evaluations;
  • Work with the Division’s Marketing team to drive online brand and product campaigns raising brand awareness;
  • Oversee and manage the sales and marketing budget;
  • Build and mantain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, agents, and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction;
  • Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance metrics, preparing regular reports for senior management and making data driven decisions to improve results;
  • Ensure the distribution channels maintain complete geographical coverage;
  • Maintain an up-to-date distributor matrix to monitor and address any performance issues;
  • Ensure the CRM is used by all salespeople to monitor progress of sales opportunities and on-going projects;
  • Identify sustainable development opportunities and drive the growth plan;
  • Implement and develop procedures to ensure that the sales team operate efficiently and effectively, achieving sales and margin targets;
  • Recruit, manage, train, and motivate direct reports located in Delft, Canada and USA according to procedures, policy and employment law;
  • Such other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
 
  Experience and Skills
  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business or Marketing;
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing global sales teams;
  • Experience managing an international sales team and distribution network is required;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions;
  • Extensive experience within a manufacturing company in technical instrumentation sales;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills;
  • Domestic and international travel required (15% to 20%);
  • Fluent (reading, writing, speaking) in English and Dutch;
 
  Compensation
  • Base salary 90,000-120,000K EUR, depending on candidate experience, plus performance-based bonus plan up to 25% of base salary;
  • €850/month car allowance or a leased car of a max of €850 per month;
  • Holidays, Pension arrangement and other secondary benefits as regulated in CAO Metaal en Techniek (CBA).
